Important News and Information

PowerSchool

Parents can view their child's (or children's) grades via Power School by clicking on this web address link: http://dowpsapn1.sjtp.net/public/

Log on ID's and Passwords:
A user id and password is created for each child, and a letter containing this information was sent home the week of September 21, 2009. If you need this information sent home again, please call the office. For security reasons, we cannot give this information out over the phone.

Parent Access Information:
The Diocese directs us to turn off Parent access to Power School just before the Interim and Trimester report cards are due. This allows time for all schools to process the data and it reduces the strain on the Power School servers. We will be updating those times below as they are given to us:

End-of-Trimester 3 access and report card info:

  • 9:00 am on Monday, May 24, 2010 - parent access will be turned off
  • The last day of school - report cards will be sent home
  • parent access will NOT be turned back on for the rest of this school year.

There are two ways to be kept up-to-date on your children's grades and other school information:

  1. E-mail Notification: click on this 'button" on the top of the Power School Parent page after you sign in to receive e-mails about your child/ren's grades. There are several different options to choose from (weekly, monthly, or anytime there is a new grade added). Please do not reply directly to the e-mails you receive. Questions about grades please contact that teacher. Any problems with this e-mail notification system, please contact Mrs. Walsh at kwalsh@popejohnpaulschool.org.
  2. School Bulletin: is a quick way to for us to remind you about upcoming events, activities, and due dates. This is also a button on the top of the Power School Parent window.
